A polypyrrole-single-walled carbon nanotube (PPY-SWCNT) composite has been prepared using chemical oxidative in situ polymerization with 5 wt.% of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) to compare the thermoelectric properties of polypyrrole (PPY) and the composite. The formation mechanism of the composite has been discussed based on the carrier transport mechanism, and transport parameters have been calculated and correlated with the structure formation. The dependence of carrier concentration and mobility of charge carrier on temperature has been obtained based on the charge carrier transport in PPY and PPY-SWCNT composite.
