The risk-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index as a new predictor of one-year mortality rate in elderly Chinese patients who underwent hip fracture surgery

Fei Xing et al.

Summary: This study focused on the one-year mortality rate of elderly Chinese patients who underwent surgery for hip fracture and evaluated the predictive value of risk-adjusted CCI. The results showed that age, time from injury to surgery, and CCI were associated with death within one year, with risk-adjusted CCI demonstrating the highest predictive value among the risk factors.
