The 2021 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Fee Schedule's Impact on Adult Reconstruction Surgeon Productivity and Reimbursement

Summary: The study analyzed the impact of a rule finalized by CMS on Medicare reimbursement for total joint arthroplasty using a mathematical model. Results showed an increase in annual wRVUs, but any growth lower than 3.35% led to a decrease in reimbursement.
