Fabrication of nanostructured In2S3 thin film with broad optical absorption for improved sunlight mediated photocatalysis application

Jaspal Singh et al.

Summary: Recently, advanced coatings based on 2D-In2S3 nanosheets have been successfully fabricated using the hydrothermal method, showing uniformity and high adhesion properties on FTO substrates. The thin film with 2D nanostructure exhibits beta-In2S3 phase and is capable of absorbing the entire electromagnetic spectrum, leading to efficient degradation of organic pollutants under natural sunlight. This study provides insight into advanced thin-film-based photocatalysis initiated by solar light.
