Summary: This study utilized advanced atomic force microscopy techniques to analyze SARS-CoV-2 viral particles, focusing on their ultrastructure, adsorption conformation, and nanomechanical behavior. The results revealed the organization and spatial distribution of proteins on the viral particles' surface, as well as the membrane's compliant behavior and ability to recover from mechanical injuries. The study also identified at least three layers composing the membrane that protect the virus from external stress.
