Constructing 2D/2D N-ZnO/g-C3N4 S-scheme heterojunction: Efficient photocatalytic performance for norfloxacin degradation

Caijian Zhang et al.

Summary: The efficiency of g-C3N4 in the photodegradation of fluoroquinolones antibiotics was limited by the low separation efficiency of carriers, which was effectively improved by constructing a two-dimensional/two-dimensional heterojunction. The prepared 2D/2D N-ZnO/CN heterojunction composites showed excellent photocatalytic performance in degrading antibiotics, with active species dominated by holes and superoxide radicals. This work enriched the engineering of 2D/2D heterojunctions for g-C3N4, providing a new possibility for solving antibiotic pollution in the environment by combining 2D MOFs-derivatives with g-C3N4.
