Effect of Thermal Treatment at Inert Atmosphere on Structural and Magnetic Properties of Non-stoichiometric Zinc Ferrite Nanoparticles

Summary: Zinc ferrite nanoparticles prepared by chemical methods exhibited significant changes in magnetic properties during high-temperature treatment, attributed to the redistribution of cations in the spinel lattice and reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+. Iron reduction was observed in both stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric zinc ferrite nanoparticles, related to the decomposition of zinc ferrite and sublimation of zinc oxide.
