Prognostic and Theranostic Biomarkers in Ovarian Clear Cell Carcinoma

Summary: This study aimed to test prognostic biomarkers in patients with stage I ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) and to survey the expression of actionable targets in stage II to IV cases. The combination of p53, p16, and IGF2BP3 was proposed as a predictor of prognosis and potential need for adjuvant therapy in stage I OCCC patients.

Coexistence of endometriomas with extraovarian endometriosis and adhesions

Summary: The study aimed to demonstrate the coexistence of endometriomas with peritoneal and deep infiltrating endometriosis, as well as with adhesions. It was a randomized retrospective study including 1054 patients treated for endometrioma at Academic Hospital Cologne Weyertal from January 2014 to October 2019. The results showed a high prevalence of peritoneal and deep infiltrating endometriosis in patients with endometriomas, with the need for surgical treatment to be cautious due to the potential presence of adhesions and complications.
