Porous organic polymers for light-driven organic transformations

Zhenwei Zhang et al.

Summary: This review systematically presents the recent advances in porous organic polymers (POPs) for visible-light driven organic transformations. The common construction strategies for POP-based photocatalysts are summarized, and the synthesis methods and organic reaction types for constructing various types of POPs are categorized and summarized. The specific reactions of current light-driven POP-mediated organic transformations are classified and introduced. The current state of development and the problems faced in light-driven organic transformations by POPs are outlined, and some perspectives are presented to motivate exploration of solutions to these problems and confront the present challenges in the development process.

Structure evolution of thiophene-containing conjugated polymer photocatalysts for high-efficiency photocatalytic hydrogen production

Sihui Xiang et al.

Summary: Conjugated polymer photocatalysts with D-A structure were developed, and the band gap of the polymers can be tuned by adjusting the number of fused-thiophene rings. Increasing the number of thiophene rings extends the visible light absorption range. The optimized molecular structure facilitates efficient photocatalytic hydrogen and oxygen evolution.
