Manufacturer encroachment with capital-constrained competitive retailers

Summary: This study examines the impact of manufacturer's encroachment on the financing choices of capital-constrained retailers in a supply chain. It is found that manufacturer encroachment harms retailers, who can expand equity financing ratios in anticipation of encroachment. Additionally, intense channel competition reduces the likelihood of manufacturer encroachment.

Joint optimization of e-commerce supply chain financing strategy and channel contract

Summary: With the rise of the e-economy, online retailers can choose to borrow from e-commerce platforms in addition to traditional financial institutions. This study investigates the interaction between the financing strategies of online retailers and the channel sales cooperation contracts of e-commerce platforms through a Stackelberg game model. The results show that the working capital level of the online retailer affects the preferences and decisions of both parties, and the platform can provide risk control to guarantee the benefits of both parties.
