Subjective Motoric Complaints and New Onset Slow Gait

Joe Verghese et al.

Summary: This study examined the validity of subjective motoric complaints in predicting the incidence of slow gait, finding that these complaints can help predict the risk of developing slow gait, particularly in women who are more likely to report such complaints. Each subjective complaint was associated with an increased risk of developing incident slow gait.

Do cognitive performance and physical function differ between individuals with motoric cognitive risk syndrome and those with mild cognitive impairment?

Fang-Yu Cheng et al.

Summary: Cognitive performance and physical function were found to be lower in individuals with MCR compared to MCI. However, the conclusions drawn may be influenced by the prioritization of MCR diagnosis in participant enrollment. Future studies should consider different enrollment strategies to clarify the characteristics of these two populations.
