Roles of endophytic bacteria in Suaeda salsa grown in coastal wetlands: Plant growth characteristics and salt tolerance mechanisms*

Jiameng Guo et al.

Summary: This study revealed that different endophytic bacteria can positively impact the growth of Suaeda salsa, depending on the salinity condition. Sphingomonas prati performed better under high salt conditions, while Sphingomonas zeicaulis was more beneficial for the growth of Suaeda salsa under low salt conditions.

Phytoremediation potential of wheat intercropped with different densities of Sedum plumbizincicola in soil contaminated with cadmium and zinc

Jiacheng Zou et al.

Summary: The study found that planting Sedum plumbizincicola in appropriate density can reduce the contents of Cd and Zn in soil, increase the removal rate of Cd and Zn, but excessive planting will inhibit wheat growth. The optimal planting density of Sedum plumbizincicola is 9 seedlings per pot, which can effectively remediate soil while having a moderate impact on wheat growth.
