To address the deficiencies of the standard Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA), a multi-objective scheduling algorithm called OWPSO is proposed, which incorporates opposition-based learning (OBL) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) mechanisms. Simulation experiments show that OWPSO outperforms other well-known meta-heuristics in terms of makespan reduction and energy consumption reduction.

AdPSO: Adaptive PSO-Based Task Scheduling Approach for Cloud Computing
