A ratiometric electrochemiluminescence strategy based on two-dimensional nanomaterial-nucleic acid interactions for biosensing and logic gates operation

Summary: In this study, a novel ratiometric ECL sensing platform was developed based on ECL-resonance energy transfer (ECL-RET), enabling quantitative analysis of miRNA-133a with a limit of detection of 0.41 pM. The platform can also be easily extended to detect metal ions or aptamer substrates, and a series of sensitive logic gates based on ECL-RET ratiometry responded to as low as 100 pM of Hg2+ or Ag+.
