Unveiling low-tortuous effect on electrochemical performance toward ultrathick LiFePO4 electrode with 100 mg cm-2 area loading

Shuping Li et al.

Summary: Thickening electrodes can increase energy density and reduce cost, but the electrochemical performance is limited by lithium-ion transport kinetics. Low-tortuous thick electrodes can accelerate lithium-ions transport, reduce concentration polarization, and possess a stable cathode electrolyte interface, leading to superior cyclability and linear increase in area capacities with active material loadings, even at high area loadings.

A SnOx Quantum Dots Embedded Carbon Nanocage Network with Ultrahigh Li Storage Capacity

Yanan Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a SnOx@C hybrid material with high surface area, conductivity, and ion diffusion rate was designed and prepared for use as an anode in lithium-ion batteries. This hybrid material exhibited ultrahigh reversible capacity and superior capacities even at high rates. The assembled full cell showed high energy density and power density, attributed to the multifeatured construction that formed an asynchronous and united lithium storage mechanism.
