Jing Shi et al.

Summary: This article investigates the influence of A-site doping on Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) ferroelectric materials and finds that ionic conductivity can be achieved through doping and nonstoichiometry. The study also reveals that different dielectric responses can be used to probe the electrical inhomogeneities in the material. Additionally, the effect of composition, phase, and microstructure on AC impedance, dielectric, and ferroelectric performances is discussed.

Dielectric Stability and Energy-Storage Performance of BNT-Based Relaxor Ferroelectrics through Nb5+ and Its Excess Modification

Jiayi He et al.

Summary: In this study, the dielectric and polarization mechanism of BNT-BT-BSTN lead-free relaxors were investigated through B-site modulation. The results showed that substituting with stoichiometric and excessive Nb content can enhance the insulation and resistivity, leading to improved energy-storage density and efficiency at a relatively low electric field. The stability of dielectric and energy-storage performance was also enhanced.

Ion-solvent chemistry in lithium battery electrolytes: From mono-solvent to multi-solvent complexes

Xiang Chen et al.

Summary: The study explores the solvation structure and redox stability of practical electrolytes from mono-solvent to multi-solvent complexes, highlighting the significance of electrolyte solvation environment in regulating stability. It is found that the decrease in HOMO/LUMO energy is positively and approximately linearly correlated with the average binding energy between Li+ and coordinated solvents. Insights into the energy chemistry of multi-solvent complexes provide critical references for electrolyte design and cell optimization.
