Rheology, dispersion, and cure kinetics of epoxy filled with amine- and non-functionalized reduced graphene oxide for composite manufacturing

Annika C. Ackermann et al.

Summary: This study found that amine-functionalized reduced graphene oxide can significantly increase the viscosity of uncured suspensions and influence the conversion rates of the curing reaction. A more homogeneous dispersion of particles can be achieved, especially at higher weight fractions, by using appropriate surface functionalization.

Graphene as a piezo-resistive coating to enable strain monitoring in glass fiber composites

Mojdeh Reghat et al.

Summary: This study investigated the electromechanical properties and strain monitoring behavior of graphene-coated glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites. The results demonstrated that GGFRE could be potentially used for strain sensing applications.
