The anterior cingulate cortex directly enhances auditory cortical responses in air-puffing-facilitated flight behavior

Wenjian Sun et al.

Summary: Animals encode prominent events to modulate defense behavior. In mice, air puffing enhances sound-evoked flight behavior, which is regulated by the ACC through modulating auditory cortex responses.

Temporal characteristics of the cochlear response after noise exposure

Li Li et al.

Summary: Intense noise exposure has significant effects on cochlear response latency and forward masking, leading to reduced DPOAE and elevated CAP threshold in the noise band region. Despite the disappearance of outer hair cells in the noise band area, inner hair cells remain unaffected. Frequency-dependent changes in CAP latency and forward masking post-noise exposure indicate different types of synaptic subinjury in the cochlea, potentially impacting sound localization and speech recognition.
