Healthcare personnel, even when fully vaccinated, are still at risk of getting infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in both occupational and nonoccupational settings. This risk increases during the circulation of the Delta variant. It is crucial to conduct SARS-CoV-2 testing for fully vaccinated healthcare personnel who have worked within 14 days after exposure to prevent the introduction of the virus into healthcare settings.
Healthcare personnel (HCP) are at potential risk for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in occupational and nonoccupational settings, even when fully vaccinated. This risk increased during Delta variant circulation. SARS-CoV-2 testing of fully vaccinated HCP working in the 14 days after exposure is important to prevent virus introduction into healthcare settings.
