Cr-doped UiO-66 with enhanced water adsorption for adsorption heat transformation

Guodong Fu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the potential applications of Cr-doped UiO-66 in adsorption heat transformation (AHT). The results show that Cr-doped UiO-66 samples have higher pore volume and specific surface area compared to pure UiO-66 samples, with the 0.2Cr-UiO-66 sample exhibiting the highest BET specific surface area and micropore volume. Water adsorption tests demonstrate that Cr doping enhances the water adsorption performances of UiO-66. The water uptake of 1.0Cr-UiO-66 is 64.3% higher than that of pure UiO-66, and both pure UiO-66 and 0.5Cr-UiO-66 samples exhibit good cycle stability.

Preparation and Application of UiO-66 in Desiccant-Coated Heat Exchanger-Based Desiccant Cooling Systems

Xu Zheng et al.

Summary: This study introduces a metal-organic framework UiO-66 that achieves excellent water uptake without corrosion, especially in the relative pressure range of 0.35-0.65. Mathematical modeling results indicate that the dehumidification performance of a DCHE using UiO-66 is superior to silica gel (SG) and LiCl-supported silica gel (SG/LiCl) under semiarid and semihumid climates, particularly when outdoor temperature is lower than 36 degrees C.

Single-Atom Ni Heterogeneous Catalysts Supported UiO-66 Structure: Synthesis and Catalytic Activities

Le Thi Hoa et al.

Summary: In this study, single-atom Ni site heterogeneous catalysts supported by the UiO-66 structure were successfully synthesized and characterized, showing excellent catalytic activity and stability in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and methylene blue. The catalyst exhibited low activation energy, high turnover frequency, and high apparent rate constant for 4-nitrophenol reduction, while achieving a high rate constant and turnover frequency for methylene blue reduction.
