Reliability analysis of arresting hook engaging arresting cable for carrier-based aircraft influenced by multifactors

Summary: This paper presents some studies on the complex and nonlinear carrier-based aircraft landing and arrest process, including the coupling effect between the aircraft and arresting system. A dynamic model of the landing and arrest cable was established and verified using laboratory test results. The key parameters affecting the collision rebound performance of the arresting hook were analyzed, and a surrogate model of the reliability of the arresting hook was established using the Support Vector Machine method. The reliability analysis was carried out using the Monte Carlo method, and meaningful conclusions were obtained.

A bi-population immune algorithm for weapon transportation support scheduling problem with pickup and delivery on aircraft carrier deck

Summary: This paper studies the problem of weapon transportation support scheduling on an aircraft carrier deck and presents a novel solution architecture. By considering the interference of the carrier-based aircraft deck layout, a mixed integer formulation is established to minimize the total objective. A bi-population immune algorithm is proposed to solve the problem, which outperforms all compared algorithms and significantly improves efficiency. The established model and algorithm effectively respond to the weapon support requirements of carrier-based aircraft under different sortie missions.

A new adaptive Kalman filter for navigation systems of carrier-based aircraft

Summary: This study investigates the features of carrier-based aircraft's navigation systems during the approach and landing phases. A new adaptive Kalman filter is proposed to improve the accuracy of the INS/GNSS integrated navigation system by considering unknown state noise covariance Q. The results of simulations and semi-physical experiments demonstrate that the application of the proposed adaptive Kalman filter can ensure higher estimation accuracy of the state variables.
