Synthesis of highly ordered AgNPs-coated silica photonic crystal beads for sensitive and reproducible 3D SERS substrates

Summary: Highly ordered AgNPs-coated silica photonic crystal beads (Ag/SPCBs) were prepared and characterized as a novel SERS substrate. The impact of silica nanoparticle size and AgNO3 concentration on the SERS performance of Ag/SPCBs substrate was investigated. Using malachite green as a model analyte, Ag/SPCBs substrate showed high sensitivity and wide linear range.

The biosensor showed high sensitivity and a wide linear range, benefitting from the large specific surface area of BN-ZnO and its ability to retain the native bioactivity of enzymes.
