Summary: The heavy-duty transport sector is transitioning towards using liquefied natural gas (LNG) to reduce climate change impact and particle emissions. This shift also presents an opportunity for the growth of the biogas market, especially in the form of liquefied biomethane (LBM). Research shows that using LBM can significantly decrease environmental impact and reduce climate change impact compared to both LNG and diesel, depending on factors like feedstock type and electricity system.
