The optoelectronic properties of the 3.9% N-CeO2/N-Gr nanocomposites were significantly improved towards the visible-light range, resulting in impressive hydrogen evolution reaction rates under visible-light irradiation. The combination of nitrogen-doped ceria and graphene synergistically produced a long-lasting plasmonic HER photocatalyst system, showing promising potential for light-to-hydrogen fuel production.
