Retrograde Chronic Total Occlusion Percutaneous Coronary Interventions Predictors of Procedural Success From the ERCTO Registry

Aung Myat et al.

Summary: The study aimed to identify independent predictors of procedural success after retrograde chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The researchers analyzed demographic, clinical, anatomical, and technical factors using a multivariable logistic regression model. The study found that the absence of lesion calcification, higher degree of distal vessel opacification, little or no proximal target vessel tortuosity, visible collateral connections, and high-volume operator status were all independently predictive of successful retrograde CTO PCI.
