Preparation of high-quality graphene oxide-carbon quantum dots composites and their application for electrochemical sensing of uric acid and ascorbic acid

Summary: The graphene oxide-carbon quantum dots composites exhibit successful decoration of CQDs on GO nanosheets, with the CQDs acting as spacers to enhance surface area for improved electrolyte accessibility and electronic transmission. By tuning the mass ratio of GO to CQDs and the heating process, the electrocatalytic activity of GO-CQDs composites can be effectively enhanced. The developed electrochemical sensor based on GO-CQDs composites shows high sensitivity and selectivity for detecting uric acid and ascorbic acid in biological samples.

One-step synthesis of N, P Co-doped orange carbon quantum dots with novel optical properties for bio-imaging
