Review of recent progress on DNA-based biosensors for Pb2+ detection

Determination of toxic heavy metals in fish samples using dispersive micro solid phase extraction combined with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy

Summary: This study presented a method for preconcentration of trace Pb, Cd, Hg, Co, and Ni ions in fish samples using pectin coated magnetic graphene oxide. The accuracy of the method was verified using certified reference materials, and toxic heavy metals concentrations were successfully determined in 11 different fish samples. By optimizing parameters, accurate concentrations of toxic heavy metals in various fish samples can be determined.

Summary: Accurate determination of hazardous Hg2+ is crucial for environmental safety and human health. A new self-enhanced ECL nanomaterial was prepared using Hg2+ as a bridge, showing sensitive and selective detection of Hg2+. By modifying the ECL nanomaterial on the electrode surface, linear detection of Hg2+ from 10 fM to 1 nM with a low detection limit of 3.3 fM was achieved, demonstrating excellent selectivity, repeatability, and stability.
