Free-standing electrochemical biosensor for carcinoembryonic antigen detection based on highly stable and flexible conducting polypyrrole nanocomposite

Jingyao Song et al.

Summary: This flexible free-standing electrochemical biosensor based on a conducting PPy nanocomposite film electrode shows satisfactory sensing performance for CEA detection, with a linear range from 10(-10) g/mL to 10(-6) g/mL and a detection limit of 0.033 ng/mL. It exhibits good specificity, long-term sensing stability, acceptable reproducibility, and deformation stability. Due to its superior sensing performance, high stability, and flexibility, this biosensor has huge potential in flexible and wearable electronics applications.
