Ana Cristina Rodrigues et al.

Summary: An analysis of 43 adult skeletons from the medieval Islamic necropolis of Santarem in Portugal revealed various dental wear and alterations, which could be attributed to hard food consumption, extra-masticatory behaviors, chewing unknown substances, or trauma.
