Cross-calibration of a combined electrostatic and time-of-flight analyzer for energy- and charge-state-resolved spectrometry of tin laser-produced plasma

L. Poirier et al.

Summary: In this study, we present the calibration results of a channeltron-based electrostatic analyzer operating in time-of-flight mode, which accurately measures a wide range of charge states and energies. The absolute charge-state-resolved ion energy distributions have been obtained, providing valuable information for state-of-the-art extreme ultraviolet nanolithography.

Laser-induced vaporization of a stretching sheet of liquid tin

Bo Liu et al.

Summary: Through experimental study, it was found that increasing the energy of the ns-laser pulse incident on the droplet results in a larger mass fraction remaining in the sheet after laser pulse impact. This allows for more mass available in the target sheet for interaction with the main laser pulse used in the industry to produce extreme ultraviolet light from tin sheet targets.

Non-axisymmetric droplet irradiation effects on ion and extreme ultraviolet light emission of laser-produced plasma light sources

Markus Brandstatter et al.

Summary: The study investigates the EUV light emission and ion emissions generated by Nd:YAG irradiated droplet targets under non-axisymmetric conditions. It was found that shifting the droplet position can alter the energy and density of the EUV light and ions.

High-energy ions from Nd:YAG laser ablation of tin microdroplets: comparison between experiment and a single-fluid hydrodynamic model

D. J. Hemminga et al.

Summary: This study presents joint experimental and theoretical investigation of plasma expansion induced by Nd:YAG laser ablation of tin microdroplets. Measurements and simulations show an excellent agreement in the ion energy distribution near 2 keV, attributing it to a quasi-spherical expanding shell formed at early times in the plasma expansion process.
