Designing a Recombinant Vaccine against Providencia rettgeri Using Immunoinformatics Approach

Saba Gul et al.

Summary: In this study, a computational approach was used to design a multi-epitope vaccine against Providencia rettgeri. The predicted epitopes were evaluated and linked with an adjuvant to enhance the vaccine's efficacy. Docking studies and molecular dynamics simulations confirmed strong interactions between the designed vaccine and immune receptors, with exposed epitopes for recognition and processing by the host immune system.

Effects of Imipenem-containing Niosome nanoparticles against high prevalence methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Epidermidis biofilm formed

Tohid Piri-Gharaghie et al.

Summary: This study aims to assess the antibacterial and anti-biofilm properties of Niosome-encapsulated Imipenem. The experiment discovered that Niosome-encapsulated Imipenem can effectively reduce the methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis' resistance to antibiotics, enhance its anti-biofilm and antibiotic activity, and has the potential to be a new strategy for drug delivery.

Putative novel B-cell vaccine candidates identified by reverse vaccinology and genomics approaches to control Acinetobacter baumannii serotypes

Sheida Beiranvand et al.

Summary: In the last decade, Multi-drug resistance (MDR)-associated infections of Acinetobacter baumannii have increased globally. Vaccination is a cost-effective preventive measure against this bacterium. Five promising vaccine candidates against A. baumannii were identified using reverse vaccinology, with LptE being the top candidate. These findings could potentially aid in controlling A. baumannii infections worldwide.
