Limited Reporting of Histopathologic Details in a Multi-Institutional Academic Cohort of Phyllodes Tumors: Time for Standardization

Phyllodes tumors of the breast: Adjuvant radiation therapy revisited

Summary: In patients with benign phyllodes tumors, adjuvant radiation therapy did not significantly improve local recurrence free survival, indicating no need for further adjuvant treatment after margin-negative surgical resection. However, for patients with borderline/malignant phyllodes tumors, adjuvant radiation therapy significantly improved LRFS after margin-negative wide local excision.
