Treed distributed lag nonlinear models

Daniel Mork et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new method based on Bayesian additive regression trees to estimate the distributed lag nonlinear model, which outperforms traditional spline-based models when the exposure-time surface is not smooth. The proposed approach can more accurately identify critical time windows and the association between exposure and future health outcomes.
