Quantitative Determination of the Hydrophobicity of Nanoparticles

Guangle Li et al.

Summary: The hydrophobicity of nanoparticles is crucial in determining their aggregation state and plays a predominant role in mediating nano-bio interactions. The maximum particle dispersion (MPD) method offers a promising and cost-effective approach for quantitatively characterizing the hydrophobicity of NPs.

Evaluation of a sterile filtration process for viral vaccines using a model nanoparticle suspension

Neil Taylor et al.

Summary: This study examines the performance of several commercial sterile filters for filtration of a cytomegalovirus vaccine candidate and uses a model nanoparticle suspension for a quantitative assessment. The results show that the Sartorius Sartobran P filter performs well, providing over 80% yield of both the vaccine and model particles at different particle concentrations.
