High-yield synthesis of CsPbBr3 nanoparticles: diphenylphosphine as a reducing agent and its effect in Pb-seeding nucleation and growth

Eder A. Castillo-Ruiz et al.

Summary: By improving the synthesis method, CsPbBr3 nanoparticles with higher reaction yield were successfully synthesized, and the positive effect of diphenylphosphine on nucleation and growth of nanoparticles was observed. The influence of diphenylphosphine on the CsPbBr3-Cs4PbBr6 phase transformation was also investigated, revealing the requirement for an improved ratio between stabilizing agents and precursors. The resulting CsPbBr3 nanoparticles exhibited high quality and are suitable for various optoelectronic applications.

Capsulation of AuNCs with AIE Effect into Metal-Organic Framework for the Marriage of a Fluorescence and Colorimetric Biosensor to Detect Organophosphorus Pesticides

Yue Cai et al.

Summary: A fluorescence-colorimetric dual-signal biosensor was developed for monitoring organophosphorus pesticides by encapsulating AuNCs in a metal-organic framework. This biosensor combines fluorescence and colorimetric signals based on the enzymolysis product of AChE and CHO, allowing detection through the inhibition of AChE activity. Additionally, colorimetric paper strips and a smartphone APP were utilized for visual semiquantitative detection and real-time supervision of pesticide contamination.

Photoluminescence investigations of sulfur quantum dots synthesized by a bubbling-assisted strategy

Shuo Liu et al.

Summary: Sulfur quantum dots (S-dots) are considered promising luminescent materials due to their simple synthesis, excellent luminescence properties, and metal-free nature, making them attractive for optoelectronic and electroluminescence applications. The emission color of S-dots is size-dependent, explained by the quantum confinement effect. The dots' luminescent quantum efficiency is strongly affected by the surface sulfur species.
