An Evaluation of Continuous Infusion Rocuronium for Sustained Neuromuscular Blockade in Critically Ill Adults

Lara M. Groetzinger et al.

Summary: This retrospective study examined the use of CI rocuronium in ICU patients, revealing differences in dosing and outcomes between patients with MOF and non-MOF. Findings suggest that continuous rocuronium infusions in patients with MOF were associated with deeper levels of paralysis and longer recovery times. Alternative strategies should be considered for critically ill patients requiring neuromuscular blockade.
