Summary: The study compared autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI) and osteochondral allograft transplantation (OCA) of the knee in terms of reoperation rates, costs, and complication rates. Results showed that ACI had higher reoperation rates and higher costs compared to OCA, but similar complication rates. Concomitant osteotomy during surgery significantly reduced the risk for reoperation in both groups.
