Measurement of vapour-liquid equilibrium and e-NRTL model development of CO2 absorption in aqueous dipropylenetriamine

Neha Kumari Agarwal et al.

Summary: The vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) of CO2 in aqueous dipropylenetriamine (DPTA) was experimentally investigated, showing a higher CO2 loading capacity compared to conventional solvents. The data was correlated using the e-NRTL theory and found to be in good agreement. The study provides valuable insights into the performance of the aqueous DPTA solvent and its potential applications.

Explorations of Liquid-Liquid Phase Equilibrium for the Mixture (Isopropanol plus Water) with Pyridinium-Based Ionic Liquids

Ke Wang et al.

Summary: Three pyridinium-based ionic liquids were utilized to extract isopropanol from its aqueous mixture, with n-hexylpyridinium bis(trifluoromethyl sulfonyl)imide IL showing better extraction efficiency. The NRTL model was applied for regression analysis, and the coherence of optimized binary parameters was examined using Gibbs energy surfaces.

Liquid-liquid equilibrium measurements and interaction explorations for separation of azeotrope n-butyl acetate and n-butanol using three ionic liquids

Dan Wang et al.

Summary: Three ionic liquids were used as extractants to separate the azeotropic mixture of n-butyl acetate and n-butanol by liquid-liquid extraction. The liquid-liquid equilibrium data was measured at 298.15 K and 101.3 kPa, and the extraction capacity of the ionic liquids was evaluated by partition coefficient and selectivity. The NRTL model was applied to fit the data with good accuracy.
