Construction of ultra-long service life self-cleaning slippery surface on superhydrophobicity functionalized by ATRP treatment

Zian Wang et al.

Summary: By combining UV-curing technique and atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) treatment, a superhydrophobic surface (SHS) with chemical stability and excellent mechanical resistance was prepared, leading to an ultra-long service life for SLIPS. This provides a promising candidate for self-cleaning applications.

Enhancing the antifouling property of polymeric membrane via surface charge regulation

Sheng-Yao Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, positively charged monomers were grafted onto negatively charged membranes via UV radiation to enhance the antifouling/antibiofouling properties of the polymeric membrane and stability of the modification layer. The introduction of MTAC monomers effectively increased surface hydrophilicity and improved antibiofouling properties of the membranes.
