High-Performance Polymeric Lithium Salt Electrode Material from Phenol-Formaldehyde Condensation

Yuqing Wang et al.

Summary: A novel polymeric lithium salt, Li2PDBM, synthesized through phenol-formaldehyde condensation followed by lithiation, shows excellent electrochemical performance as a cathode for rechargeable lithium batteries, with high reversible capacity, rate capability, and cycling stability. This work provides important insights into the structure-performance relationship of carbonyl-based electrode materials with -OH or -OM substituents.
