Vowel dyslexia in Turkish: A window to the complex structure of the sublexical route

Selcuk Guven et al.

Summary: Developmental vowel dyslexia is a type of dyslexia that selectively affects the reading aloud of vowel letters, with deficits located in vowel processing in the sublexical route rather than in the phonological-output stage or the orthographic-visual-analyzer. This type of dyslexia highlights the importance of detailed error analysis and dyslexia-relevant stimuli in detecting dyslexia in transparent language systems.

Probing Phonological Processing Differences in Nonword Repetition for Children with Separate or Co-Occurring Dyslexia and Developmental Language Disorder

Anna M. Ehrhorn et al.

Summary: The study found similarities in nonword repetition abilities between dyslexia and developmental language disorder, and co-occurrence exacerbates this difficulty. In the experimental task, nonwords with low phonemic variability were repeated more accurately with audiovisual presentation.
