Supply chain ethical leadership and green supply chain integration: a moderated mediation analysis

Jieyu Wang et al.

Summary: This study extends the concept of ethical leadership in the context of supply chain and explores how supply chain ethical leadership (SCEL) affects green supply chain integration (GSCI) via the green image, with the moderating role of perceived institutional force. The findings reveal that SCEL has positive impacts on GSCI, with the green image partially mediating the relationship. Perceived business force and perceived social force strengthen the impact of SCEL on the green image and the mediating effect of the green image on strategic integration.

The role of Artificial Intelligence networks in sustainable supply chain finance for food and drink industry

Femi Olan et al.

Summary: Over the past decade, food and beverage supply chain management has become a critical component of global operations strategy. The expansion of global food and beverage industries has led to challenges in coordinating operations across countries, particularly in terms of financial support for multi-layered supply chain networks. Despite limited literature on artificial intelligence in FDIs, the study explores AI theory in supply chain networks and alternative supply chain financing, proposing a new conceptual framework based on theoretical contributions identified through literature. The research indicates that AI-driven supply chain networks may provide a sustainable financing stream for the food and beverage supply chain.

Summary: This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to address uncertainty in sustainable supply chain finance (SSCF) and identifies blockchain, cash flow shortage, reverse factoring, risk assessment, and triple bottom line as significant indicators. A comparison of challenges and gaps in different geographic regions shows that Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa require more improvement, particularly in collaboration strategies and financial crisis management. Countries/territories are categorized into five regions, highlighting the need for addressing exogenous impacts like wars, natural disasters, and disease epidemics to enhance sustainability in SSCF.

Governance mechanisms and green customer integration in China: The joint effect of power and environmental uncertainty

Qian Yang et al.

Summary: Drawing on transaction cost economics and social exchange theory, this study explores the impact of governance mechanisms on green customer integration and the moderating effects of power and environmental uncertainty. Results from 206 Chinese manufacturers indicate that both contractual control and relational norms facilitate green customer integration, but the promotional effects of these mechanisms can be undermined by mediated power. Additionally, demand uncertainty can strengthen the weakened effect of mediated power on the relationship between contractual control and green customer integration.
