Developing a comprehensive theoretical model for adopting social media in higher education

Summary: This study conducted a quantitative analysis of 713 studies to identify the most frequent factors that showed significant results in previous literature on social media. Based on these factors, the study developed a comprehensive theoretical model to investigate students' behavioral intention to adopt social media in higher education. The findings showed that perceived enjoyment, perceived critical mass, perceived compatibility, and information quality positively impact the perceived usefulness of social media.
