Reviewing the ecological footprints of Africa top carbon consumer: a quantile on quantile analysis

A. Zakari et al.

Summary: This study examines the role of energy consumption and institutional quality in determining ecological footprints. The results demonstrate a significant positive relationship between energy consumption and ecological footprints in the first quarter, but a negative relationship in the fourth quarter. Additionally, the study finds that institutional quality has a positive impact on ecological footprints. These findings suggest that specific institutional strategies and efficient energy consumption can contribute to improving ecological footprints.
