Institutional context and female entrepreneurship: A country-based comparison using fsQCA

Summary: This study explores the configurational effect of multiple institutions on female entrepreneurship and growth expectation among female entrepreneurs using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis, showing that high FENT and FEGE are generated by configuration of institutions. Entrepreneurial cognitions play a decisive role in promoting female entrepreneurship, while entrepreneurial culture is crucial in generating high growth expectation among female entrepreneurs. The findings provide beneficial policy implications for the allocation of resources to promote female entrepreneurial activities.

The role of gender in the evolution of peer networks: Individual differences in relation to the Big Five

The results show that female students are more likely to form ties based on gender and age while both genders equally form ties based on informedness. Furthermore, there are gender differences in the impacts of personality traits on different types of network homophily. The findings suggest the need for further research in this area.
