LiFi Positioning for Industry 4.0

Summary: Precise positioning information is crucial for the implementation of smart manufacturing systems in Industry 4.0. This article presents a time-of-flight based indoor positioning system for LiFi, which aims to achieve positioning by reusing existing functions of the LiFi communication protocol. The proposed algorithm utilizes coarse timing measurement and fine timing measurement to achieve centimeter-level accuracy in three dimensions.
