Hole transport free flexible perovskite solar cells with cost-effective carbon electrodes

Haixia Xie et al.

Summary: Low temperature derived carbon electrodes were used to fabricate low cost hole transport layer free perovskite solar cells, with perovskite films annealed in glovebox and ambient air as the absorbers. Samples annealed in ambient air showed higher efficiency, good stability, and larger crystal grains compared to those annealed in glovebox.

Perovskite solar cells with atomically coherent interlayers on SnO2 electrodes

Hanul Min et al.

Summary: By introducing an interlayer between the electron-transporting and perovskite layers in perovskite solar cells, researchers have successfully enhanced charge extraction and transport from the perovskite, leading to higher power conversion efficiency and fewer interfacial defects. The coherent interlayer allowed the fabrication of devices with a certified efficiency of 25.5%, which maintained about 90% of its initial efficiency even after continuous light exposure for 500 hours. The findings provide guidelines for designing defect-minimizing interfaces in metal halide perovskites and electron-transporting layers.

Low Temperature Processed Fully Printed Efficient Planar Structure Carbon Electrode Perovskite Solar Cells and Modules

Fu Yang et al.

Summary: This study presents a low-temperature fully printed perovskite solar cell production scheme using carbon as the top electrode, achieving highly efficient and stable PSCs under ambient conditions and meeting the requirements for industrial-scale production. The optimized carbon-PSCs show efficiencies exceeding 18% with enhanced stability, retaining 100% of their initial efficiency after 5000 hours in a humid atmosphere. Large-area perovskite modules with an efficiency of 15.3% are successfully obtained by optimizing femtosecond laser parameters. These results represent important progress towards the scalable production and global application of PSCs.
