Analysis of herbicide and its applications through a sensitive electrochemical technique based on MWCNTs/ZnO/CPE fabricated sensor

Summary: In this study, the electrochemical performance of LNR was investigated using a MWCNTs/ZnO/CPE electrode, with voltammetric techniques revealing the reaction kinetics under various conditions. The linear relationship and detection limits of LNR were confirmed within specific concentration ranges. Characterization of synthesized ZnO nanoparticles and the sensitivity of the MWCNTs/ZnO/CPE sensor for LNR detection were also demonstrated.

High-performance electrochemical sensing of hazardous pesticide Paraoxon using BiVO4 nano dendrites equipped catalytic strips

Summary: The study focused on synthesizing and characterizing a Bismuth Vanadate catalyst, which was successfully applied as an active electrode material for an electrochemical sensor application. The modified electrode exhibited excellent electrochemical sensing performance for ethyl Paraoxon with a low detection limit and good sensitivity, along with reproducibility, repeatability, stability, and selectivity. The proposed catalyst showed promising results in practical application for detecting Paraoxon in river water samples, making it a desirable candidate for rapid electrochemical sensing.

The sensor, using a surface modified glassy carbon electrode with 1,8-dihydroxyantroquinone (1,8-DHAQ), exhibited good reproducibility and resistance to interfering ions. DFT approach indicated noncovalent interactions and almost parallel orientation of the sensor components on the glassy carbon surface.
