Cl/S co-doped carbon nitride nanotube clusters effectively drive the metal-free photo-Fenton reaction under visible light: A new ROS conversion mechanism

Guofei Jiang et al.

Summary: In this study, Cl/S co-doped carbon nitride nanotube clusters were used as a photocatalyst for metal-free photo-Fenton reaction. The Cl/S-TCN photocatalyst, in combination with H2O2, showed excellent degradation performance for organic wastewater over a wide pH range. The optimal H2O2 dosage was found to be 10 mM, and it significantly enhanced the degradation rate of pollutants under neutral conditions. The MF-PF(Cl/S-TCN) system also demonstrated efficient COD removal for domestic sewage and oilfield produced water. Furthermore, the system exhibited good stability and a novel reaction pathway.

Polydopamine bridged MXene and NH2-MWCNTs nanohybrid for high-performance electrochemical sensing of Acetaminophen

Shuxian Chen et al.

Summary: The MXene/MWCNTs nanohybrid is considered an ideal electrode material due to its unique structure and properties. A novel approach was developed to cross-link amino functionalized multi-carbon nanotubes onto polydopamine functionalized MXene, resulting in a composite with hierarchical structure, large specific surface area, good conductivity and electrocatalytic ability. The modified electrode showed excellent sensing performance for acetaminophen detection with good linear response, low detection limit, reproducibility, selectivity, and stability. This method was successfully applied to detect acetaminophen in actual samples.

Non-enzymatic glucose sensor based on a g-C3N4/NiO/CuO nanocomposite

Z. Lotfi et al.

Summary: A non-enzymatic glucose sensor based on g-C3N4/NiO/CuO nanocomposite immobilized on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was developed and showed superior electrochemical performance. The sensor exhibited a linear range from 0.4 μM to 8.5 mM, a detection limit of 0.1 μM, and a sensitivity of 362.12 μA mM(-1) cm(-2). This sensor displayed promising potential for blood glucose sensing with favorable reproducibility, selectivity, and long-term stability.
