LncRNA Neat1 promotes the macrophage inflammatory response and acts as a therapeutic target in titanium particle-induced osteolysis

Sipeng Lin et al.

Summary: Aseptic loosening (AL) is a major cause of artificial joint failure, and long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) Neat1 plays a key role in regulating particle-induced osteolysis. This study reveals that Neat1 affects osteolysis by activating the NF KB pathway, NLRP3 inflammation, and M1 polarization, and it also regulates BTK expression through anti-miRNA activity in the post-transcriptional stage, offering a novel strategy for the treatment of osteolysis.

LncRNA MEG3 Protects Chondrocytes From IL-1β-Induced Inflammation via Regulating miR-9-5p/KLF4 Axis

Yijiang Huang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that MEG3 promotes chondrocyte proliferation and migration, while inhibiting apoptosis and inflammation by sponging miR-9-5p to induce KLF4 expression. This provides a potential therapy target for osteoarthritis treatment.

Dynamic Regulation of the Molecular Mechanisms of Regulatory T Cell Migration in Inflamed Skin

M. Ursula Norman et al.

Summary: The presence of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in the skin plays a key role in controlling inflammatory responses. The molecular mechanisms underlying Treg migration in the dermis vary significantly depending on the phase of the inflammatory response. Inflammation-induced Treg migration is dependent on RGD-binding integrins and PI3K p110 delta signaling.

Recent Updates on the Involvement of PI3K/AKT/mTOR Molecular Cascade in the Pathogenesis of Hyperproliferative Skin Disorders

Laura Mercurio et al.

Summary: PI3K represents a family of kinases that control multiple biological processes in mammalian cells and is associated with various skin pathologies. The dysregulation of PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway contributes to uncontrolled cell proliferation and resistance to apoptosis in skin cancers, while also leading to enhanced proliferation, defective differentiation, and anti-apoptosis in psoriasis. The role of PI3K/AKT/mTOR in atopic dermatitis is less characterized, with recent evidence highlighting its function in epidermal barrier formation and stratification.
